Amy-Leigh Hood

Assistant Co-Principal, Early Childhood Education, Yew Chung International School

Ms Amy-Leigh Hood has been working with young children as a Kindergarten teacher since 2009, she is currently the Assistant Co-Principal at Yew Chung International School in the Early Childhood Section. She is from South Africa, and this is her ninth year at Yew Chung where she has been a classroom teacher as well as a campus co-coordinator.  Ms Hood has a Bachelor of Education degree from University of Fort Hare, specialising in Early Childhood Education.  She also took up further studies on Infant and Toddler Development and Care, as well as School Leadership. Ms Hood values connections fostered between families and children and believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and trusted in their relationships and environments.
