Simon Misso-Veness

Deputy Principal, German Swiss International School

Simon Misso-Veness started my career in the South of England in 1987 before working internationally since the mid-1990s in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and South Korea before arriving in Hong Kong four years ago. As an arts educator, Mr Misso-Veness developed a drama curriculum focused on personal development and collaboration informed by the narratives and arts practices of South East Asia and the subcontinent. For the past ten years, Mr Misso-Veness has transitioned to educational leadership specialising in the IB Diploma programme, developing student leadership & activity programmes and establishing an approach to teaching & learning that integrates evidence-based approaches to support the development of children's emotional, cognitive & social welfare. Alongside this, Mr Misso-Veness also has overall responsibility for Student Admissions to the English International Stream at German Swiss and has oversight of the process of university applications in close partnership with our University Guidance Team.
